Just Acquired: Startup Warrior

startup warriorI just acquired Startup Warrior. It’s a business application – a business search site, if you like – that lets you to find the locations of IT companies worldwide.

You can click on the “markers” on the map to explore more about the location of the business, information regarding the business, and nearby businesses. The site is very useful in exploring your potential location for business or even finds a startup job.

It seems that the app developer lost interest to the site and decided to let it go at – to me – a great price tag. The site has a great potential and it’s a great source of information. And as I mentioned to you, I love to invest in informational web and blog sites.

The site “mashes up” Google Maps and TechCrunch’s CrunchBase data, and present them as useful information.

One problem: The application is built using Ruby on Rails and hosted on Heroku cloud application developing platform, and I don’t know a thing about them!

So – this is a problem yet to be solved; one thing for sure, I need to hire an app developer to better Startup Warrior.

I’ll keep you posted regarding my experience in working with an app developer… in the mean time, check out Startup Warrior and do let me know what you think of the site!
